A perspective-shifting rebrand for the network you underestimated
Big mobile networks have spent years handing their customers lemons. Hiking prices, slashing data, betting that most people are too indifferent to act. Lebara’s product has always been a smarter alternative, but lacked the brand to match. So Verve built it.
Rekindling the challenger spirit
Lebara had been quietly outperforming the market for a long time. Competitive pricing, a reliable network, millions of customers across Europe. Verve identified the audience Lebara had always served but never spoken to directly: people who had wised up to the mobile market and made a smarter call. We turned that insight into the strategic platform “Join a smarter perspective on mobile”, which served as the brand foundation.
New worldview at your fingertips
Lebara doesn’t just connect you. It changes how you see. A distinctive handheld effect that runs through the visual identity: parallax collages, warped and skewed typography, UI interactions that feel true to life. To give the brand range across markets and contexts, Verve developed a three-level expression system. Low is calm and neutral. Medium stretches and bends. High gets warped and distorted to the stylistic extreme.
The colour system is built on productive tension. Smart Blue anchors every touchpoint, Think Pink fires where action is needed. A custom typeface, Lebara Sans, gives the brand a voice entirely its own. Verve also defined the look and feel of Lebara’s digital products, ensuring that what customers feel in the brand they feel in the product. From purchasing an eSIM to topping up a balance, the experience was designed to behave in precisely the same way as the identity.
Built to grow
The rebrand is now live in the Netherlands, and rolling out across Germany, France, Denmark and the UK over summer. And through licensing partners spanning Nigeria, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Spain, the identity is built to travel. Sharp, ambitious, and coherent wherever it lands. Equipped with a brand, product and approach that all speak the same language, Lebara is ready for what comes next.
