It’s important to celebrate success, big or small. That’s why the entire Verve team went on a trip to Tallinn. Not just a team trip full of sightseeing, good food and a night out. We went to pick up the title of European Agency of the Year together with four awards - a big success.
At 6:45 AM sharp, the Verve early birds gathered at Schiphol to catch a plane to Tallinn. Some not-so-early birds didn’t start their morning until after the security check: with a fresh cup of coffee. Thirty Verve team members taking over the Baltic Air plane - all ready for a celebratory weekend. Join us in exploring the best spots of Tallinn for a day.
Start your morning with a tasty coffee from Røst. Walk by this small Scandinavian influenced bakery and get dragged in by the smell of cinnamon. While you take a sip, enjoy the architecture - this building used to be a flour mill.
From there on, take a fifteen minute scooter ride (we swear by them) to the Kumu Art Museum where you find Estonian art from the 18th century until now. Their abstract, yet topical exhibitions make room for the Soviet era, sound art, fashion, visual studies and female artists. Rather into photography? Visit the Fotografiska museum. Get inspired by world-class photography of exhibitions about political reality and its utopia, stereotypical roles of Chinese women and emoticons. This museum is everything but ordinary.
Lunch in a quaint old-town street? Peet Ruut is the place to be. Taste delicious seasonal dishes like Toast Skagen with a twist: shrimps on brioche - Peet Ruut’s version of the Swedish Classic. We dare you to taste their homemade Schnapps!
Take a stroll around the harbour area and find yourself tasting twenty-four different draft beers in the Põhjala Tap Room. This local brewery gets its inspiration by their heritage, local nature and cuisine. Get a taste of well-known beer styles with a twist of surprising ingredients or barrel ageing. Don’t forget to order the kimchi cornbread on the side, it’s delicious!
Dinner time! Get pampered in antipasti, pizza, pasta, great wines and live music at La Prima Pizza. With its 50-year-old lemon tree in the middle of the restaurant, this cozy place makes you feel like you’re having dinner in Tuscany. Their home made limoncello is a must try before you leave. And who knows, you might be the lucky one to enjoy a serenade at your table.
Haven’t had enough of Tallinn yet? Find yourself dancing to techno beats at one of Plastik’s club nights in the coolest, urban places.
